Becoming a dentist was not Dr. Clayton Callaway’s original plan. Dr. Callaway graduated in 1993 from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. After working in that field-of-choice for a few years, he realized that he was dissatisfied with his career path. Dr. Callaway made the surprising decision to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, Dr. Glenn Callaway, a dentist who was trusted by the Columbus community for many years. After working very hard for a year to gather all of the prerequisites necessary for dental school, Dr. Callaway was accepted to the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Promptly upon his graduation, he opened his own practice In September of 2000. Above all, Dr. Callaway loves that he now has the opportunity to continue to grow his practice with his wife Darcy. When they’re not in the office, Dr. Callaway and Darcy enjoy spending time with their two children, Sophia and Jonathan—especially loving swimming, water sports and any peaceful time in their home on the lake. Dr. Callaway is proud of what his practice has become, and his passion for improving patients' lives pushes him to be even better. His guiding philosophy is one of getting to know each patient personally and understanding their needs. Combining this compassion with advanced dental techniques and technologies, Dr. Callaway is carrying on the Callaway name in dentistry and building a legacy of gentle care.
